I was born in the UK of West Indian parentage but I was in Nigeria when the wedding took place. The following day I met with friends and relations and all of them were surprised to find out that Meghan’s mother was black. Nice that she had ‘yellow’ skin but her features are clearly black, they said. They also felt happy that ‘one of us’ had made it into this most famous historical family and hoped she/they would visit Nigeria, anytime soon.
