I felt your article was well written and informative. I no longer live in Tottenham and left it some twenty years ago but still visit once per year as I have family living in the area. SS underground was a regular and routine place I would constantly use — whether I’m coming from colleges, University or work, the underground has been important but what you have to say about the area surrounding Seven Sisters Underground is totally true!

Given there is now a bus stop just outside the station you would have thought the lighting aspect would have improved. The street lights there and also near my family home on Phillip Lane are so dim. What with the trees, especially in the summer months seem to obscure the lighting making the place quite nerve racking!

Maybe you should send your article to David Lammy or the ward councillor for the Bruce Grove area and let them ‘hear’ what you have to say.

When I come from abroad, I now arrive at Wood Green Station. It’s well-lit plus the escalator is straight from the tube taking you right to ground level. Unlike SS whereby it is difficult to tackle the two staircases with two suitcases! For the young girl who was killed I was unaware of her until I read your article. I’m very sorry for what happened to her.

You are an articulate writer and I believe your writing is a great tool that can be used to raise awareness of what is happening in the area, in London. Also, people should know about your talent; it’s important for an area like Tottenham, to showcase its talent.
